An AI phone receptionist is a virtual receptionist that answers incoming business calls using an AI voice. Ankor's Aria can book available appointments in Google Calendar, email a contact-form link or take a message for you. This is a done-for-you setup, tested with you and launched only after your approval. Every missed call is a person who wanted to talk to you and got voicemail instead. The AI Phone Receptionist answers your business number, offers times that are really free in your Google Calendar, and books the call while the caller is still on the line.

If they are not ready to book, she emails them your contact form or takes a message for you.

A day it is built for

You are with a client at 10:40 when the phone rings. Aria answers, hears that the caller wants to talk about a new project, offers Thursday at 9 or 11, and books 11. By the time you look at your phone, the call is in your calendar with the caller's name, email, number and what they want to discuss, and they already have the invitation with a Google Meet link. This is a done-for-you setup. There is no 7-day software trial on this page.

What Aria does on a call

Answers every call to your number, including after hours, and says she is an AI receptionist.
Offers only times that are free in your Google Calendar, inside the hours and appointment length you choose.
Books the appointment and sends the caller a Google Calendar invitation with a Meet link.

Calls are handled by third-party AI and telephony services (Google Gemini and LiveKit). Aria tells callers she is an AI, and we help you add a line about this to your privacy policy.

Which calendar and email services does it support?

The current setup works with Google Calendar and Gmail only. Aria checks available times within your chosen booking hours and appointment length, then sends a Google Calendar invitation with a Google Meet link.

Can I keep my existing phone number?

Ankor can set up a South African 087 number, or you can forward your existing line to it. Confirm the forwarding arrangement for your line with Ankor before setup. Overseas number availability and forwarding must be checked separately.

What do I need before setup?

You need a Google account with Google Calendar and Gmail, an agreed phone-number arrangement, your business hours, appointment length and contact-form link. We also agree the greeting and what Aria may and may not say.

Can it quote prices or make commitments to callers?

No. Aria does not quote prices, promise delivery dates or make commitments about your work. It does not make outbound calls or guarantee bookings or sales. Those business decisions stay with you.

Does this service have a seven-day free trial?

The seven-day free trial applies to all ready-made Ankor products. The AI Phone Receptionist on this page is a done-for-you setup service, scoped and quoted separately; it does not have a seven-day software trial.

When does the receptionist go live?
